Mimbres Food Distribution

The Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico provides the basic food each month and MVHAL purchases additional food to increase and enrich the quality of the grocery boxes given out to each family. MVHAL first worked with the Rio Mimbres Baptist Church, then later, the food distribution moved to its current home, the Roundup Lodge. Our current manager, Sonny Johnson, works with a group of volunteers from the valley to sort, package and distribute the food. The Roundup Lodge provides the site and the Booster Club —whose members support the upkeep of the Lodge—provides invaluable volunteers.
